Group SNE, the Japanese tabletop studio known for adapting FromSoftware games into pen-and-paper format, is now tackling Elden Ring: Nightreign. The news broke via Kadokawa’s Fujimi Dragon Book Editorial account on social media and was first reported by Polygon. The tabletop campaign is scheduled for publication in spring 2026.

What’s Known So Far

Few concrete details have been shared about the campaign’s mechanics or scope. A sneak peek is slated to appear in GM Warlock magazine, but that preview is currently Japanese-only, leaving international fans without much to go on. Whether the finished product will receive an English localization remains unconfirmed.

Group SNE’s Track Record

Group SNE is no stranger to bringing FromSoftware worlds to tabletops. They previously produced official adaptations of Dark Souls, Elden Ring, and Armored Core 6. Beyond video game tie-ins, the company is responsible for the Record of Lodoss War campaign setting and the long-running Sword World RPG, a tabletop game first released in 1989 that became a phenomenon in Japan.

Localization Uncertain

Given the language barrier and the lack of a confirmed English version, fans outside Japan will have to wait for further word. The adaptation’s success in its home market may influence whether it crosses the Pacific. For now, the only certainty is that the campaign is in development and due next spring.
